Trainee Solicitors

Zyda Law will be recruiting one or more Trainee Solicitors to start in September 2016.

We are a recognised, leading, and award winning boutique law firm specialising in planning and environmental law for major infrastructure projects. We are experts in navigating European and UK regulatory and statutory processes to secure development consents and environmental permits for major projects in three sectors: energy, waste and rail. Most recently we have been awarded the National Boutique Firm of the Year award at The Lawyer Awards 2014, shortlisted for the Energy and Natural Resources Firm of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2014 and awarded top tier status in the Legal 500 directory for both Planning and Environment.

Applicants must have a proven academic record, good problem-solving and analytical skills and good commercial knowledge. It is important to be able to work well as part of a team and to be motivated to excel on individual tasks.

A training contract at Zyda Law is no ordinary training contract. As a boutique law firm, rather than moving between “seats” our trainees remain in our planning and environmental law team throughout their contract. This enables them to specialise in these areas and to form close connections with our lawyers and clients. We ensure that you get the best training at Zyda Law and our training contracts are closely monitored throughout.

As a trainee solicitor at Zyda Law you will be given many opportunities that you will not receive at larger, general commercial firms. We ensure our trainees are given high-profile work, often for household name clients, as soon as they join the firm. Examples of work that trainees will be involved with include meeting clients, attending consultations with counsel and representing the firm at conferences and events across the country.

Benefits include:

  • A competitive salary;
  • A firm-wide bonus scheme;
  • A company pension plan; and
  • Annual holiday entitlement.

To apply in confidence email your CV and a cover letter to secretary@zydalaw.com.

Deadline for applications is 29th May 2016.
