Logo Scottish Power Judicial Review of planning permission for a gas storage facility and processing plant Former Byley Airfield, Cheshire

Scottish Power obtained planning permission for an underground (8 salt cavity) gas storage facility and above ground processing plant in open countryside which became the subject of a judicial review application.

We mounted a robust defence of the judicial review proceedings. By working with the Treasury Solicitor we ensured the two defence teams were coordinated and applied a consistent approach to highlight the shortcomings of the challenge. With our 100% success rate in defending such challenges, we were able to apply our years of experience to respond to the claim quickly and constructively.

Our defence was successful and we won the Judicial Review.
