Near neighbours of the Hartlepool nuclear power station proposed an extension Quay 11 to accommodate the decommissioning of former war ships.

We were instructed to consider the detail of the proposal promoted by ABLE UK Ltd, and to determine marine, planning and legal reasons to avoid any potential issues with blockage of the Hartlepool nuclear power station’s sea water inlet cooling system. We promoted a substantive written objection to ABLE UK’s proposals.

Hartlepool Borough Council refused ABLE UK’s application to extend the wharf.

Client Comment

Zyda Law's...breadth of experience in the Energy sector has not only helped specific projects but allowed us to improve our generic approach to planning issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending Zyda Law.
