RYA wished to oppose an application for the installation of a temporary marina to accommodate up to 225 yachts at Greenland Dock, during the London 2012 Olympics.
We focused on the UK and EU legislation and national and local planning policies material to the application. We identified legal breaches of EU EIA legislation and non compliance with the adopted local planning policy framework. We settled with the client a substantive letter of objection and engaged directly with the planning authority to ensure the objection was fully reported to the Development Control Committee.
The local planning authority accepted our objection and refused the application.
I would like to say thank you for everything you did to help, it has been a pleasure working with such diligent and professional gentlemen.
